Along similar lines, I took my first First Friday walk in a great while last night. For a December night in Denver it was surprisingly mild. I saw a great variety of work which moved me every which way. One thought that stuck with me throughout the night was that of an artist's voice. Once an artist finds his voice, it seems it can stick with them for a long while. Or a little bit. At times the voice can be lost completely. It is these voices that sing to me when I am looking at art, telling me their stories, telling me lies. I have a voice among them too, but a voice that has been long too quiet. Time to speak up.
