Good: Very quick & interesting infotainment everyday in an html email.
Bad: You could become "that person" who knows about something new before anyone else, only to dismiss it when everyone else has caught up.
Check it out: Very Short List. Full review after the jump!

In the ever-quickening world we live in time has become a highly structured and rigid discipline of organization and delegation. Gone are the free-flowing days where personal projects could languish and be done "when it's done." Everything, even relaxation, is molded into a tightly wrapped package and snapped into a schedule like a lego.

Time to learn, or discover new things, or to practice free association research is dwindling for us whose schedules have no blocks set aside for such things. In the eight-to-five madness which actually encompasses six-to-six or more, delegating time to enjoying new discoveries is rare & in the cases that kind of time appears; well, time is of the essence.

Thankfully Very Short List came along to save my day. Understanding that delegating time is a surgical procedure and scrutinized just as heavily, Very Short List gives a succinct introduction and review on a particular subject each day. Every morning after my first coffee it usually arrives, and I can spare a few minutes -- literally -- to check out something new and interesting. Very Short List quickly and easily gives me a little mental stimulation and a good conversation piece every day. They are never paid to write about any subject so you can rest assured you aren't being sold anything.
